February 2024

One month down, 11 to go. I’ve seen a lot of things floating around on FB and Insta about how January always seems so long. “January has been a tough year,” and so on. For me, it flew by. I made myself busy and took care of some things I’d been putting off. All in all, 2024 is off to a good start at MNMHQ.

More More More has some great stuff coming up this month, including the debut of our newest member and bass player, Chuck Moore. I’ve been playing with Chuck for years in Wake the Neighbors, and as a steady member of The Availables. He’s a great musician and I look forward to continuing on with him.

Speaking of The Availables, we’ve added a bunch of stuff for the coming year, including The Admiral’s Cup, Magerk’s (for St Paddy’s Day,) Shaefer’s Canal House, The Island at Flying Point Marina, and more. I have a great lineup of musicians for each gig, so come on out and support if you can!

In non-musical news, I’ve decided to make 2024 the year I get back into reading. I used to be a voracious reader, but Covid ruined it for me. I’ve missed it. Because I’m a nerd (and because ADD meds tell you to focus, but not what to focus ON,) I’ve compiled an extensive To-Be-Read list and started chipping away. I’m already on my fourth book (ironically, it’s Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros). I’m always looking to add new stuff, so I’m open to suggestion. I’m doing the Fantasy thing for now, as its where I’m most comfortable. Swords, magic, dragons…nothing too shocking there.

So, that’s it. I’ll see you out there. Be kind.
